If there is something that defines your business as different then this is your Unique Selling Point or USP and having one is becoming increasingly important at a time when customers are faced with so much choice in the marketplace.
Are you cheaper, faster, friendlier, better? If so, let the customer know.
Of course, your USP can be so much more than marketing copy. If you take time to seriously look at what makes you unique it may help you create a strategy for the future growth of your business. So take time to think about these questions:
What is it that we do?
What makes us better?
Why should the customer pick me?
Why do we do what we do?
What does the company stand for?
What does the company stand against?
Knowing what you do, and why, will help you decide what opportunities are strategic for your company, and which ones you should pass up!
